Is Cost Preventing You from Attending the Annual Meeting?
The ASLA Fund has received a limited grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to help underwrite attendance for those adversely affected by the recession.
The ASLA Library and Advocacy Education Fund has been awarded a limited grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to underwrite two nights’ lodging expenses for several members so they can attend ASLA’s annual meeting. If you are interested in being considered, please send an email of no more than 250 words to Director of Public Relations and Communications Terry Poltrack, tpoltrack@asla.org, explaining how the economy has affected you and why this underwriting would make a difference between attending or not, an NEA requirement. Please also put “NEA Grant” as the subject line. The grant can only cover lodging expenses, not registration or other expenses. Should you be chosen, the ASLA Fund will then assign you a room for Saturday and Sunday nights, September 19 and 20, at one of the official hotels. Deadline for submission is July 31, 2009.
