Opportunities: Walk This Way
ASLA’s Opportunities and Events page provides users with the latest information on everything from conferences and meetings to calls for papers, requests for qualifications, consulting opportunities, and competitions. This event promotes walkable cities.

Walk 21 is an international conference on walking and walkability. Hosted by the New York City Department of Transportation, this three-day conference will feature a dynamic mix of lectures, workshops, and poster sessions that will showcase New York's most innovative projects within all five boroughs.
This year's themes are:

  • More Footprints, Less Carbon
  • Paving with Gold
  • There Is More to Walking than Walking
  • Fit Cities.

Walk 21 works to develop healthy, sustainable communities around the world where people choose to walk. Please visit www.walk21.com/newyork/newyork.html for more information.
