Professional Practice Committee Issues Call for Ideas
What would help you work smarter? Take your opportunity to be heard.

Did you know that ASLA has a Professional Practice Committee (PPC) composed of 20-plus members from across the country that represents many of the practice specialty areas from all sectors—public, private, and academic—of our profession? Currently there are four subcommittees—Professional Practice Academics, Construction Administration, Specifications Review, and Business Owners Support. Subcommittees may be created or retired in response to the focus of the overall committee for the upcoming year.

The PPC strives to serve the Society through research, collaboration, and providing information, business tools, and products that are useful and can help our members work smarter.

As we look to the year ahead, the members of the PPC are asking the ASLA membership, “What do you need to work smarter?” If you had a team of professionals who could look into a subject and work together to produce a resource that could make your day a little easier in the workplace, what would it be? There may be areas where we (the collective Society) need to come together and through the efforts of the PPC make additional resources available on specific topics. Take the opportunity to be heard, and give us a chance to help you. Send your suggestions to ASLA Information and Professional Practice Managing Director Susan Cahill at scahill@asla.org.
